Job Title: Experienced Bookkeeper
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced bookkeeper who is proficient in QuickBooks, data entry, deductive reasoning, Microsoft Excel, and possesses excellent customer service skills. As an experienced bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing financial records, reconciling accounts, processing invoices, and providing exceptional support to our clients. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks software. QBD or QBO
- Perform data entry tasks, including entering financial transactions, invoices, and payments.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements, ensuring accuracy and resolving any discrepancies.
- Generate financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable, following up on overdue payments and managing vendor relationships.
- Conduct regular audits of financial data to identify errors, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving issues related to financial records.
- Collaborate with clients and team members to gather and analyze financial information, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
- Assist with payroll processing, tax filings, and other financial tasks as required.
- Utilize deductive reasoning to identify patterns, trends, and potential errors in financial data.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel to create and maintain spreadsheets, perform data analysis, and generate reports.
- Stay updated on industry trends, accounting regulations, and software advancements to enhance bookkeeping practices.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced knowledge of bookkeeping principles.
- Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent deductive reasoning abilities to identify and rectify discrepancies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, functions, and data manipulation.
- Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Familiarity with payroll processing, tax filings, and financial reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (preferred).
- Ability to adapt to changing technologies and learn new software platforms quickly.
